Basically, the story is about Nino's character (Kagura Ryuuhei, a genius scientist who takes part in DNA investigation) is suspected of murder and he becomes a fugitive/runaway, while a detective (played by Toyokawa Etsushi-san) pursues him.

It is said Nino starts filming in Feb.

There is an official website but nothing much at the moment.

In other news, there will be a DVD/Blu-ray release for Furiitaa, Ie wo Kau SP on 4 April 2012. It is said there will be a making (around 45 mins) and booklet (subject to changes).

If Ohoku were a reality, Nino would sing to survive

Arashi’s Kazunari Ninomiya (27) and actress Ko Shibasaki (28) talked at a preview event today about what they would do if Ohoku were real, and how they found working with one another, reports Mainichi Shinbum Digital and Cinema Cafe.

The film is an adaptation of Fumi Yoshinaga’s manga series set in medieval Japan, where a mysterious disease has killed more than 80 per cent of the male population.  Three-thousand of the most handsome men are now part of harem to a woman shogun, and the story follows their ambitions, jealousy, likes and dislikes for one another.

The first day of filming involved shooting the scene where Shogun Yoshimune entered a room 40 metres long, where all of the men were waiting for her.

Update on Nino's accident

I guess most of us thought, it's solved by now...but.

It was reported today (the news programs have also reported about it), that the Meguro police headquarters has sent in their documents to the prosecutor, regarding the incident where Nino's car crashed into a woman on her bicycle (on 4 June 2010), to charge Nino for accidental infliction of injury.

As far as we know right now, Nino has admitted to the charge and mentioned that he didn't pay attention to where he was going.

Well, the worst that could happen would be Nino getting a fine and/or getting his driver's license suspended.

I don't think we should worry too much, since the woman's injury was minor and the company has already banned the whole group from driving, till the end of the year.

If I have posted any wrong information, or you will like to provide more....please reply.

And here's a clip about this news (thanks to sharksoul24 for sharing it!)

Nino's small accident

As you guys may or may not know, Nino had a small accident this afternoon (around 12.30 pm, Japan time). His car crashed into a woman's bicycle, while he was driving in the Meguro district (Tokyo). Both of them are okay, though the woman has a minor bruise on her left foot.

The police/authorities are investigating the matter, whether the cause of the accident was due to because Nino wasn't paying attention to where he was going. The intersection where the accident took place, has no traffic lights.

The jimusho commented, they are looking into the matter.

Reported on news program as well.

「嵐」の二宮和也さんが人身事故 (TBS News) <---edit: This article was updated. Now it mentions that 4 June was his off-day.

If any of these info is not correct, or you know more information (with source), please reply.

I'm just relieved it's not serious and both Nino and the woman are okay.

「嵐」二宮さんの事故で「全メンバーの運転禁止 (link provided by candy311) <---this article mentions that Nino was on his way to a staff meeting, and that all the guys are prohibited from driving this year, by the company.

The articles seems confusing, so I guess we have to wait and see if there will be more info, and official word from the jimusho. Anyway, I mentioned that accident took place around noon, because '午後0時半ごろ' was mentioned in all the articles I've seen so far.'午後' stands for pm.

Edit x 2:
嵐・二宮が車で衝突事故!メンバーに運転禁止令 (posted on 5 June 2010)

This article mentions about a guy who witnessed the incident, saying that after a scream from a woman, there was a sound of the crash. Then immediately after the crash, Nino went to the woman and carried her to the side and called the ambulance. Nino was calm when the police came for on-site inspection. The jimusho has given Nino a warning and because of collective responsibility (Jun had an accident back in Feb this year), the whole group is prohibited from driving till the end of this year. According to the officials ('関係者' was used), it was Nino's off-day and he was on his way back to a meeting about the album.

Hmm...I don't think there was any new updates after this (if there was, please let me know).

"Ooku" cast includes Horikita, Tamaki

Additional cast members have been revealed for the upcoming live-action film "Ooku," which stars Kou Shibasaki (28) and Arashi's Kazunari Ninomiya (26). Joining them are Maki Horikita (21), Hiroshi Tamaki (30), Sadao Abe (39), and Kanjani8's Tadayoshi Okura (24).

Directed by Fuminori Kaneko, the film is an adaptation of the Fumi Yoshinaga manga of the same name. The story is a historical fiction set during the Edo period, in which a mysterious disease significantly reduces Japan's male population, resulting in women becoming the dominant members of society.

In December, it was revealed that Shibasaki is playing the role of the female shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune, while Ninomiya is playing the part of Mizuno, a young man who joins the ranks of the "ooku" (the "inner chambers"). Horikita has been cast as O-nobu, the childhood friend of Mizuno who harbors feelings for him.

Tamaki, Abe, and Okura will play key members of the ooku. Tamaki's character is Matsushima, a high-ranking member of the elite O-chuurou class. Abe is playing Sugishita, a low-ranking member who has served for many years but has given up on promotion. Okura, who is making his big screen debut in this film, has been cast as Mizuno's rival, the expert swordsman Tsuruoka.

"Ooku" is scheduled for release on October 1.

The way fandom moves these days, this is probably old news :D But I wanted to know what you guys think. Well for one, for me...I didn't think there will be another person from another JE group. So I'm looking forward seeing the interaction between Nino and Okura :)

Eh, can we have some sort of sneak from the filming....soon? ^^;

Yoshitaka joins Ninomiya, Matsuyama in "Gantz"

Last October, it was revealed that Hiroya Oku's sci-fi manga "GANTZ" is being adapted as two live-action films, starring Kazunari Ninomiya (26) and Kenichi Matsuyama (24). It has now been announced that actress Yuriko Yoshitaka (21) is taking on the heroine role.

The story revolves around two young men named Kei Kurono (Ninomiya) and Masaru Kato (Matsuyama) who should have died in a train accident, but a mysterious entity known as GANTZ brings them back to life and sends them on missions to hunt down alien beings.

Yoshitaka will play the role of Tae Kojima, Kurono's classmate at university. A pure romance develops between the two characters, contrasting with the brutal violence that Kurono and Kato engage in for their missions under GANTZ. Yoshitaka will also participate in some action scenes (including wire-action).

Both of the "GANTZ" movies are scheduled for 2011.

I'm getting excited XD

Another movie from Nino~

News about Nino having another movie, called Ooku was, I think being briefly mentioned in the magazine called Nikkei Entertainment (please correct me, if it's wrong).

But it's only today, the media picked it up and announced that the movie, will be released next year, on 1 Oct.

More info about the plot:

Shibasaki, Ninomiya to co-star in "Ooku" adaptation
Kou Shibasaki (28) and Arashi member Kazunari Ninomiya (26) have been chosen to star in Fuminori Kaneko's "Ooku," a live-action film adaptation of the manga by Fumi Yoshinaga. This will be the first jidaigeki film that either has starred in.

Yoshinaga's "Ooku" is a historical fiction set during the Edo period. A mysterious disease strikes Japan's male population, reducing their numbers to a fraction of the female population. As a result, the traditional gender roles are overturned, with women becoming the dominant members of society and men becoming valued for their ability to produce offspring.

In the story, the shoguns of the time are actually women, and the "ooku" (the "inner chambers" of the shogun's castle) consists of thousands of men rather than women. Shibasaki plays the role of the shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune, while Ninomiya plays a young man named Mizuno who enters the ooku.

The movie, said to have a budget of 1 billion yen, covers only the first of the 5 manga volumes released so far. However, producers are considering turning "Ooku" into a series of films.

"Ooku" opens in theaters on October 1, 2010.

The official website is up (nothing much at the moment). But there is sort of like a CM trailer, and it has already raised my tension ^^;

I've always wanted to see Nino acting in a drama or movie, that is set during the Edo period. And it's Ooku?
